Grants.gov is a website where federal grant-making agencies post funding opportunities and applicants may find and apply for these federal opportunities. You can view the opportunities most recently posted or you can perform basic searches based on entered criteria for opportunities that meet that criteria. See below for how to perform a basic search (once at the website, click on Search Grants tab and then enter some keywords).
When an opportunity of interest is located and you access it, a number of tabs are displayed. The synopsis provides an overview, however, under the Related Documents tab of each opportunity is a notice of funding opportunity (NFO) which describes the purpose, priorities, available funding, eligibility, application and submission information, application review details, etc. The NFO is the document of focus for those interested in applying.
